Gold racer Touareg
VW Touareg is famous for offering great value for money. It is also one of the best off-roaders you can buy. With its air suspension, rigid construction and powerful engines there are simply no limits to the Touareg. During the Qatar auto show which started today, VW presented two very special modifications of the 2011 Touareg. And even though both versions are still only concepts most automobile specialist think that the automaker will probably sell them later this year as a very limited series. The first concept is a modified version of the Rally Dakar Touareg which has won numerous titles. The Racing SUV will be road legal, which will most certainly make some rich gentlemen very happy. Touareg Race 3 comes with a highly modified engine producing 310bhp and huge amount of torque. The big SUV is equipped with 18” wheels and off-road tyres. The heavy-duty suspension has been slightly modified. The Touareg is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph for less than 6 seconds, which is without a doubt very, very impressive. The interior has been modified as well, all race specific gadget and gages have been removed. Much brushed aluminium and carbon fibre have been used. The second concept SUV is the so called Touareg Gold Edition and as you can guess by the name, the SUV has a little bit of a bling. Actually quite a lot of gold has been used in order to cover the front grill, the huge 22” wheels, the roof rails, door mirrors and window frames. Much gold have been used in the interior as wheel. Almost all visible metal elements are covered with pure gold. If you nick one of the air vents, for example, you will probably be able to buy some second hand hybrid car.
